About the event
Join Climate Cafe NYC at the Climate Imaginarium for an uplifting afternoon of refreshments, meditation, and a meaningful conversation on climate emotions! Enjoy coffee and snacks with our climate community as we share our feelings and get to know others in the movement. Positive vibes guaranteed! This event includes a ten minute scene from the play "Red: A Mark Rothko Story." Two actors perform with limited props and staging. This scene captures the frustration Rothko experienced with the new Pop Art movement on the rise. Following the performance and talkback with the actors, stick around: Our climate crisis is one of time. Yet how do we face the real pressures of our climate without being in a hyper frantic reactive state all the time? Join us for 3 embodied activities to look at how to practice alternative time scales, bear witness to our fear and our collective responsibility to where we go from here. Led by Holes in the Wall Collective as part of their Imagined Futures program.
