About the event
This mass meeting is the big one! Tell everyone! Show up/Show out! As we begin our 2025 campaign, we want to invite everyone and anyone to plug in and take part. We will be forming action groups and inviting folks into our strategy and planning. This is the moment to organize together and mobilize against this climate crisis. Join us in telling NYC's biggest greenwashers: lying has consequences!
We have two fantastic speakers:
Genevieve Guenther, founding director of End Climate Silence and the author of "The Language of Climate Politics", will be talking to us about the greenwashing and brainwashing work of the public relations industry.
Sandra Steingraber, PhD, is a biologist, author, and activist. She will be talking to us about carbon capture and storage, possibly the most expensive and dangerous of the many false solutions that the fossil fuel industry and their friends are trying to sell to us.
